The use of botulinum toxin is one of the most important tools among the minimally invasive rejuvenation procedures. Our team believes that muscle education is one of the main pillars of our 3-dimensional approach to facial rejuvenation. The muscle movements that occur during facial and neck mimics play a very important role in the aging process of the face and neck region because they are directly related to all movements of facial expression.
The loss of bone structure, fat volume and skin density that occurs with progressing age leads to a loss of resistance of the facial soft tissues leading to more extensive amplitudes of muscle movement (e.g. the smile become larger and shows more teeth) and muscle hyperactivity due to lack of support. The overlying skin starts to reflect every movement and first dynamic and later static wrinkles start to appear. One of our goal is not only to rejuvenate but also to prevent aging process, so our approach is to use this powerful tool to restore a fresher and younger look and to maintain it as long as long as possible.
Normally botulinum toxin treatments have no downtime and a very low rate of complications if the patient is well selected and follows the recommendations of pre- and aftercare strictly. The duration of the treatment is up to 6 months depending on the area treated, the amount injected and the loss of fat volume and skin elasticity in the specific area. It can be carried out alone or combined with other procedures like : injectable fillers, skinboosters, IPL /laser, Microfocused Ultrasound.
There is no need for skin preparation before the day of treatment. Our team recommends that if female patients plan to have eyebrow micropigmentation that the treatment should carried out min. 15 days before. The main aftercare recommendation is not to rub the area or to exercise for 24 hours after the procedure.
