Superficial Peeling

Our team believes that achieving a healthy- and young-looking skin is an essential part of any facial rejuvenation process. The skin is the largest organ in our body and plays very important role as target of multiple rejuvenation procedures. Our skin condition is a reflection of many different external and internal factors. The superficial layers of the skin (epidermis and superficial dermis) are specially affected by external factors such as sun exposure, constant exposure to dry air, lack of daily care to prevent skin dehydration, constant exposure to wind and cold weather etc. With progressing age the cell turn-over and the capacity to renew fibres like collagen and elastin starts to diminish and takes longer than normal. This results in an non-fresh or unhealthy appearance of the skin. Our team uses different treatment protocols according to the season so this procedure can be carried out at almost anytime.

Superficial Peeling - what to know beforehand …

What to Know Before Superficial Peeling . Ocean Clinic

Normally superficial peelings have a short downtime (2 – 5 days) and a low rate of complications if the patient is well selected and follows the recommendations of pre- and after care strictly. Depending on your condition or your expectation more than one session maybe necessary to achieve the desired result. It is a very good procedure to be done alone or combined with procedures like: skinbooster, IPL / laser, facial surgery, microfocused ultrasound/ Ulthera

The aftercare is more important than skin preparation in cases superficial peelings. Skin types prone to hyperpigmentation might need some bleaching agents during as post procedure aftercare. Sun protection is always paramount before and after the treatment along with specifically prescribed hydrating agents/ serums to use at home.

Our recommendation is that depending on skin type and conditions, your face should be treated 1-2 times /year with superficial peelings.
