After attending medical schools in Bonn, Paris V, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Munich (TUM), Dr Kaye received his medical degree from the University of Munich (TUM) in 2001 and subsequently received his University Doctorate Magna cum Laude in 2002 after two years of research in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery at the TUM (Prof E Biemer). In 2002 he joined a renowned plastic surgery department in Birkenwerder/Berlin as a Plastic Surgery Resident to get further education with a special focus on breast surgery.
In 2004 he left to take the opportunity to join the highly reputated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at the University of Aachen (Prof N Pallua) and to complete his specialization in the field of Microsurgery, burn surgery and hand surgery.
Dr Kaye is a fully registered Plastic Surgery Consultant in Germany, Spain and the UK. Dr Michel Saiveau is a fully qualified Plastic Surgeon with a wide experience in the field of Aesthetic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Hand and Microsurgery. He is currently registered in the UK, in France and in Spain as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
After attending medical school in Poitiers and Tours, he continued his education in general surgery in the University of Bordeaux/France, as resident and consultant. After receiving his doctorate in 1986, he obtained in 1990 the grade of Specialist in Plastic Reconstructive, Hand & MicroSurgery. He completed fellowships in the departments of the Plastic Surgery Unit of the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, the University Bedford Hospital, the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, and in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit of the University of Bristol Dental Hospital, GB.

After attending the medical school in Cologne, Germany, Dr Kästner received her medical approbation from the University of Cologne in December 2009. Subsequently she attained her doctoral degree with the graduation 'magna cum laude' in July 2012 after four years of experimental research at the department of Pharmacology of the University of Cologne (Prof Dr Herzig).
Between 2010 and 2012 Dr Kästner worked as a resident in general surgery at a large medical center in Cologne to gain experience in the field of emergency and intensive care. 2012 she joined the Department for Plastic Aesthetic Hand and Burn Surgery at the Clinic Cologne-Merheim, which is part of the University of Witten-Herdecke (Prof Dr Fuchs), as a resident for Plastic Surgery. The highly reputed Clinic focuses on reconstructive surgery, burns, hand surgery and furthermore the training of students.
To complete her residency program and to specialise in Aesthetic Surgery, in January 2016, Dr Kästner took the opportunity to join the team of Ocean Clinic.
Soon after, Dr Kästner qualified as a registered Plastic Surgeon in Germany. Furthermore, in November 2016, she proved her knowledge on an international level and passed the European Board examination in Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS). She continues to work with Dr Kaye as Consultant for Ocean Clinic.
Since September 2017, Dr Kästner additionally works as a Consultant for the Praxisklinik am Rosengarten in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. The Praxisklinik am Rosengarten is cooperating with the Ocean Clinic.
Dr Paprottka received his medical approbation in 2010 and finished his thesis 2011 on the topic of embryonic stem cell research and regenerative cardiac therapy approaches after medical studies in Muenster (Germany), Prague (Czech Republic), Zurich (Switzerland) and Sydney (Australia).
From 2011 until 2012 he did research on nerve regeneration at the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Technical University Munich (Germany), followed by 5 years of residency at the Department of Plastic Surgery at the AGAPLESION Diakonieklinikum Rotenburg (Wuemme) as well as at the Burn Center of the Hannover Medical School (Germany). In 2015, Dr Paprottka was honoured at the PRS Best Paper Awards in Boston (USA) for his scientific work on the field of skin cancer formation after tattooing and in 2016 he was elected into the Executive Committee of the EPSRC (the largest European plastic-surgical research community).
Dr Paprottka joined the Ocean Clinic in Marbella where he will complete his plastic-aesthetic surgery residency program.
Born in 1976, Granada (Spain), Dr Capitán has a degree of Medicine and Surgery from Granada University. After five years of training at the Maxillofacial unit of the Granada University Hospital Virgen de las Nieves he receives his specialist degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2006. From the same university he obtained a Master Degree in Tissue Engineering (cum laude) in 2006, preparing his way into specializing in orthognathic and craneo-facial surgery.
Dr Capitán worked at the Maxillofacial and Implantology Institute of the Teknon Clinic in Barcelona with Dr Hernández Alfaro and at the Morriston University Hospital of Wales together with Professor Adrian Sugar in the Craniofacial and dental facial deformities Unit. Those experiences started his high level of specialization in this field. Since 2007 he was the head of the oral and maxillofacial department at the USP Hospital Marbella.
Since January 2012 he is the head of Ocean Clinic’s Maxillofacial Department.
Dr Capitán is an acclaimed specialist in facial sculpting and facial feminization surgery, in which field he has performed more than 300 procedures during the last years and developed new techniques. He is leading Ocean Clinic’s Maxillofacial Department since January 2012, furthermore he is one of the founders of FACIALTEAM, where he provides in collaboration with Dr Kaye an unique integrated concept for facial feminization patients, combining Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery techniques to offer an all encompassing approach with outstanding results.
Dr Aranda has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Metropolitan University of Colombia in 1997. Dr Aranda is approved in Spain. She is Master in laser applications for general medicine and aesthetic medicine in Bogotá (1998).
Dr Aranda has worked as medical coordinator in Dermoescultura Caribe (1999-2001). Subsequently Laser Clinic integrates Spa. Since 2002 she is working in prestigious clinics in the area of Marbella.
Over the years Dr Aranda has continued her training in multiple workshops, symposia and training courses. Dr Aranda is a member of the Colombian Society of Laser.

After his dental studies in Nijmegen (The Netherlands, 1983) Paul Arts did post doctoral studies in Düsseldorf, Germany until 1987. He built his own dental surgery in Germany for three years and subsequently moved to Spain where he started specialising in aesthetic-cosmetic dentistry. “Giving people one more reason to smile makes my profession very rewarding” as per Dr Arts. Porcelain veneers, lumineers and composite veneers are his specialities. Paul Arts speaks English, German, Spanish and Dutch. It comes as no surprise that Paul also expresses his artistic inspiration in portrait painting.
In Düsseldorf Paul Arts worked and studied in the AOK Zahnklinik under the guidance of the acclaimed Dr Dr Klaus Pfeifle. Since then he has been continuing his studies and courses on aesthetic/cosmetic dentistry in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. Paul started working in 2007 with Emax ceramics for veneers and porcelain crowns which offer the best aesthetic and functional possibilities. His 20 plus years of cooperation with his technician, Daan Huurman, guarantee predictable, top quality work. Qualified as specialist in Orthopedic surgery in 2002 in Denmark, followed by a fellowship at Broadgreen and Liverpool University Hospitals in England. In 2004 he became in charge of cartilage treatment and research at Aalborg University Hospital, Denmark, in 2006 he was part of the group who developed cartilink 3; an autolog chondrocyte implantation method for cartilage repair. Since 2010 he has been in charge of hand, knee and foot surgery at two private hospitals in Norway.
Dr Larsen is registered as senior consultant at the General Medical Council in England, as specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in Spain, as specialist in Orthopedic Surgery in Norway and Denmark. Dr Larsen has performed more than 15000 arthroscopies, more than 1000 ACL reconstructions and is specialized in hand, foot and knee surgery.
Dr Larsen is supervisor for PhD students within reseach in Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery at the University of Bergen, Norway, and has published several articles in the field of Orthopedic surgery.
After studying medicine at the Medical School of Malaga in 2000 Dr González was a research assistant at the Department of Clinical Pathology by Dr Carlos Vara Thor Beck. He received his doctorate in 2006 in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Medical School of Malaga.
Until 2003 he was a lecturer and tutor at the CTO Medical Academy. At the same time he specialized in the field of heart and vascular surgery at the University Hospital Carlos Haya Malaga. Hhere he worked in both the surgical and clinical care. Dr González has published more than 20 items in prestigious national and international journals.

Dr Peters studied medicine in Berlin Freie Universität, Madrid Universidad Complutense and London RPMS Hammersmith Hospital and qualified in 1997. He then worked clinically at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin and did scientific research on molecular biology of gastrointestinal tumor cells. He received his doctoral degree at the Charité Berlin with summa cum laude in 2002.
He completed his residency at the Ruppiner Kliniken in Neuruppin and became a specialist in internal medicine in 2005 and in gastroenterology in 2007 before becoming consultant at the Jewish Hospital Berlin and subsequently head of the department of internal medicine, gastroenterology and diabetology. Before moving to Spain and opening his private practice in the city center of Marbella in 2013 he worked for 6 months at the Timaru Hospital in New Zealand and became Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago, Dunedin.
He is a Fellow of the European Board of Hepatology and Gastroenterology (FEBG) and a fully registered active member of the Colegio de Medicos de Malaga (Reg.No. 29/29/10551) with a recognized specialization both in internal medicine (medicina interna) and in gastroenterology (aparato digestivo). He is also registered at the Ärztekammer Berlin and the New Zealand Medical Board. Dr Peters has published several peer reviewed articles in highly recognized international publications (Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Cancer Research, Journal of the National Cancer Institute) and has given numerous scientific presentations at national and international conventions.
Dr Eriksen is a British trained dietitian with over ten years of clinical experience working as a specialist dietitian for the private hospital group HCA International in London including Harley Street Clinic, The Portland Hospital, LOC Leading Oncology Centre and The Wellington Hospital.
Dr Raimundo Escudero was born in 1973 in Barranquilla, Colombia where he graduated with a diploma in Medicine in 1997. He obtained his certificate as specialist in anaesthesiology and reanimation from the University Hospital of Granada in Spain, ever since then extending his knowledge in France and the UK.
Dr Escudero decided to improve his work experience in several specialist areas: the Intensive Care area, the cardiovascular area, paediatrics and the chronic pain unit. He also works at many important hospitals in Costa del Sol, but he decided to additionally join the team of Dr Kaye in 2010. Dr Escudero speaks French, English and Spanish.
Dr José María Seminario, born in 1952 in San Sebastian, Spain. He studied Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid and became resident in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the University Hospital Doce de Octubre, from where he graduated as specialist in 1982. For 25 years he has been the chief of the department for Anesthesia and Reanimation at the public Hospital “la Serranía” in Ronda, Spain.
He decided to join the Ocean Clinic team in 2008, helping to build up the newly founded Department for Anesthesia. Apart from his work in Ocean Clinic he works for several private hospitals. Dr Seminario speaks Spanish, English and German.
He graduated as Physiotherapist from European School of Paris in 1994 and he graduated as Osteopath from Osteopathy School of Madrid in 2006, having an ample experience in France and Spain. He worked as physiotherapist at the Public Hospital of Paris “Hotel Dieu” within the functional re-education department, the highest school of spinal physiotherapy in France, directed by the famous spinal specialist, Professor Maigne.
In 2000 he moved to Marbella where he collaborated with a very famous aesthetic clinic. At the same time, he studied Osteopathy at University of Alcala de Henares, Madrid. In 2004 he created and managed Physiocenter Marbella Clinic, which specialized in osteopathy. After this experience, he decided to join to the team of Ocean Clinic. Daniel Meningaud is a fully registered member of The Physiotherapy Bar in Andalusia and of The French Osteopathy Association.
Born in Cali,Colombia in 1976 and living in Spain since 2001, our therapist Ana Caicedo Rodriguez was in her younger years interested in Arquitecture. She studied Arquitectural Drawing and design but it is in the world of medical esthetics that she has discovered her true vocation. She qualified in Spain as a Lymphatic Drainage Therapist-Quiromassage-Reflexology of the Feet and application of Radiofrequency/Ultrasound Machines by CEFAI.
Miss Caicedo is an essential part of our Ocean Clinic Team as her work during the post-operative period is very beneficial and important for the recuperation from all types of surgical interventions.
Born in Cadiz and qualified in Nursing at The University of Malaga in 2000, specializing in Intensive Care for several public hospitals in Andalucia. Founder and Director of Clinica Antonio Julia, which is dedicated to Aesthetic Medicine and Odontology since 2007. In his desire to grow proffesionally within Aesthetics, he contacted Dr Kaye who offered him the opportunity to Head the department of Micropigmentation/Medical Tattooing at Ocean Clinic. Together with Dr Kaye he performes PRP (Plasma Rich Plaquetes) to activate Autologous Cellular Regeneration. Antonio speaks Spanish and English.
After studying as a dental technician in 2003, she studied Dental hygiene in 2005 in Malaga, during which she was working in a dental laboratory. Over the following years she continued studies and symposiums. She has worked in the social healthcare and private sector in Malaga and Madrid.
Mrs Taylor qualified as a Surgical Nurse in 1997 in the UK and spent the next 9 years working for both the NHS and Private sector in all specialities, but Plastic Surgery was always her favorite speciality. She moved to Spain in 2006 with her family and resumed her career working for a Plastic Surgery clinic here in Marbella, where she met and worked closely with Dr. Kaye over 2 years. After Dr Kaye founded Ocean Clinic, she accepted the opportunity to join his new team and to help build the clinic. Mrs Taylor manages the surgical patients and coordinates the operating theatre; she speaks English and Spanish.
Originally from Canary Islands, Miss García moved to Marbella where she grew up. She graduated from the University of Malaga with a diploma in Translation and Interpreting (English, German and Italian) in 2003. She has also studied at the University of Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Las Vegas (USA). Since she graduated, she has acted as translator and interpreter for different enterprises. However, she has focused on the direct and personal treatment by working as receptionist and secretary. She has known Dr Kaye since 2009 and she was asked to join the team and accepted gratefully. Ms García speaks English, Spanish, German and Italian.
Born in Morocco, he moved to Fuengirola with his whole family at 13 years of age. In 2013, he graduated in Labor Relations and Human Resources from the University of Cordoba, subsequently expanding his training in human resources in the field of coaching. In 2016 he was introduced to Dr. Kaye and decided to join the Ocean Clinic team. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Arabic.
Born in Mijas here on the Costa del Sol, Ms García graduated from Brighton University with a diploma in adult nursing in 1999. After a total of three years working in all nursing areas, she decided in 2002 to come back home to further her working experience under the sun. Here in Spain she has worked in several places both privately and publicly. Mrs. García has known Dr Kaye since 2007 as they both worked together in a Plastic Surgery clinic in Marbella. When he opened Ocean Clinic she was asked to join the team and accepted gratefully as she enjoys working in such a professional and relaxed environment. Ms García Cuevas speaks English and Spanish.
Born in Gelsenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Miss Ristic qualified as a Nurse in 2010 at the German Red Cross Westphalia. During her training as a Nurse at the Bergmannsheil Hospital and at the Children’s Hospital Gelsenkirchen-Buer, she worked in various medical specialties, meanwhile her main interest has always been in surgery. After one year in Alicante, she started to work at Ocean Clinic in 2012 and values her work in a professional and international Plastic Surgery Team. Ms Ristic speaks German, Spanish and English.
Born in Fuengirola, she studied Nursing at Malaga University; meanwhile she worked as a First Aid Teacher in Red Cross of Fuengirola. When she finished her studies in 2009, she started to work in several private and public hospitals and clinics, so she had the opportunity to practice in different areas of medicine: paediatrics, maternity, traumatology, internal medicine, ER, etc. Ms. Benitez speaks English and Spanish.
Born in Málaga, Miss Martín was always very interested in a carreer in Health Sciences, and she recieved her Diploma of Nursing from the University of Malaga in 2011. Afterwards, she moved to Stuttgart in Germany. There, as well as working as a nurse she studied german and gained the B2 certificate in German language. When she came back to Málaga she worked in several differents hospitals and clinics. Finally, in her desire to learn new aspects of surgery and nursing she joined the Ocean Clinic team. She speaks spanish, english and german.
Born and raised in Sweden, Catherine graduated in nursing at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and worked several years as an emergency room nurse at various hospitals in Stockholm before taking the decision to one to Spain. After several years of working at Quiron Hospital in Marbella and Hospital Carlos Hoya in Malaga she obtained a Masters Degree in Critical Care and Adult Emergencies in 2008 from Malaga University. Catherine speaks Spanish, English and Swedish.
